Updating info, I'll add the new app picture soon I hope. I might change her biography if I can get around it (only to add some deeper details the general story should be the same).

Name: Lillie Elfheim

Preferred nicknames: Lil, Pixie

Staff | Student: Student of the Green dormitory

Age: 18-19

Race: Changeling*

Height | Weight: 4’6’’ (137,2 cm) | 70.5 lbs (32 kg)

Sexuality: Presumably straight, but not yet decided.

Abilities:
Due to her lifelong exposure to the faerie realm and the magic of her abductor she has undergone some changes, making her closer to fae kin than a human being. Few of them are visible but it has given her a few abilities not ever accessible to normal human beings.

ھ Fae glimmer – The fae’s ability to hide one’s true appearance. She learned this at such a young age that she is no longer aware that she’s even doing it or capable of such a thing. If she uses some of her other powers though, the glimmer weakens and her appearance seems to distort and tremble as if she’s seen through a veil of mist or a patch of boiling air. At times when the glimmer flickers it gives way to something darker lurking under the appearance of the young sweet girl. (The fae glimmer has never truly been lifted since she learned it)

ھ Wings – Her pixie wings is the only thing of her fae appearance that isn’t always hidden by her glimmer; when used they are visible, a pale shimmering green, translucent and glittering at times. They give her the ability to fly, though like walking or doing any other kind of exercise it is exhausting eventually and she’ll have to rest.

ھ Control of shadows – Warren taught her a bit of fae magic, most of it within his own abilities. To make shadows do his bidding was one of the few things he showed her. Lillie still has a lot to learn in this area, but she can use shade cast by sun- or artificial light to conceal herself or she can animate them, make them appear something else than they are. Of course they will still be shadows, and at the moment she can only use them to scare people rather than hurt them.

Apart from the fae glimmer, she is fully aware of these abilities but uses them sparingly. She is capable of developing all of these, and other abilities with time and practise but has yet to acknowledge it.

Weapon(s): N/A

Personality

For the most part Lillie is a crybaby… that is if you actually get close enough for her to show that side of herself. Not that she cannot act that way with complete strangers, however with people she doesn’t know very well she is very timid and quiet. She has self-esteem issues that make her hold back in social situations and sometimes she won’t say anything at all, yet she has a tendency to eventually blurt something out that often is out of turn or generally not related to the subject.

In the unlikely event that she should actually make friends with someone she would become more talkative, bubbly even, but also overzealous, and often flustered when she thinks she’s overstepped her boundaries. She fidgets and worries both about her friends doing well and being healthy and safe, but also that they aren’t really her friends, that it’s just all some cruel joke someone planned out for her… or that at any moment she could scare them off or make them hate her. She never utters a word about those thoughts however and just smiles and does anything asked of her without question.

Lil is gullible, naïve, overbearing to a fault and dependable. She never gets angry, in fact, if anything she would think that she is at fault and apologize.

She is a scaredy-cat and will scream if you sneak up on her, though she’ll get embarrassed and flustered afterwards. She loves to hear ghost stories, but will immediately believe them no matter how silly they are and be scared for a few days after hearing them.
(She gets a little more flustered around boys than girls for whatever reason.)

Bio/History:

Lillie was born a human, but her life changed before she even knew what a human was or understood what it meant.
Like so many infants before her, and so many to come after, she was sleeping peacefully in her cradle. Her father was out working to keep food on their table, her mother sleeping in the same room as she. This was when something impossible snuck into their house… into their home. A being of ancient times filled with fairy tales and magic. Humans would have called it a barghest, though to any of his kind he was but another creature of fey kin. Having grown weary of his lonely life the barghest had decided to find himself a companion. A servant if you like. Taking the human child from its crib, he left an enchanted piece of wood in its place to be nurtured and cared for as if it were still Lillie.

Her parents never learned of their child’s fate, but eventually realized that the thing they had loved was not their daughter.
By then it was far too late and there was nothing to be done. Lillie was growing and learning with only the barghest for company. She was ignorant to the fact that she did not belong in his world or that there was more to any world but Warren, for that was his name, and the place they lived in. The girl never saw him leave to get food or any other necessity, so she couldn’t possibly understand that there would be anywhere or anything else. Warren was the one to teach her things; to talk, to walk, how certain things worked, even the tiniest of fey glimmer. He was the one who’d named her, the one to listen when she’d had bad dreams, to nurse her when she’d get sick. He was her entire world and she depended on him for everything even though she had been meant to serve him.

But fae folk is a fickle race; for millennia they will stay the same, or they will change so often and fast that they appear a blur. But eventually they change.
Warren had been the same for a few hundred years, he had kept to himself for almost all of that time and the first time he’d had contact with a human was when he had stolen Lillie from her parents, a possible sign that he had started to become unstable.

Over the time Lillie stayed with him, he’d change a little almost every day; maybe his snout would change its form slightly, or his fur would change colour or his voice would get deeper. The girl wouldn’t question it, she didn’t know any different, however it would be confusing at times, when something had changed drastically. When his personality started to change was when Lillie started getting scared of these changes… by then she had been with him for almost 13 years and his way to treat her had been the one steady thing in her life, now he’d start to get angry with her, impatient, almost violent at times. Yet she endured… what else could she do than try to please him? She had no way of escape…
Then one day Warren was gone without a trace and Lillie was alone for the first time in her life. For some time she would do nothing but get up after sleeping and walk through her home looking for him, then go to bed again when she couldn’t find him. She had no idea for how long this routine went on, but eventually she would take something to eat as well.. and just when she was starting to go insane something changed in the place that had always stayed the same; a passageway had opened.. allowing her to leave. This also took her a while to do, scared to enter the unknown… scared that Warren would be cross with her for being gone when he came back.
But, eventually curiosity won over fear and she left her lifelong home behind.
The passage led into another part of the faerie domain and she met other creatures, some frightening, some beautiful, some harmless, some dangerous. Like this Lillie made her way through their world, following the branches into other worlds. And finally, she heard of the Hell Gate University; deciding to go have a look at it.

RP Sample: (Literate; notes, skype, chats, google-docs.)

The library was all but empty; most of the students had classes or didn't care about the old building filled with musty old books and tales long forgotten. The little changeling was sitting alone at a table in the back of the main room, a large book in front of her. It had taken her a while to get used to the dim lighting and eerie atmosphere of the place, but eventually she had come to like it.
It was her primary hangout between classes and in her spare time, considering that she didn't have many friends... perhaps things would eventually change, but for now she was alright with them as they were... a lot of her classmates scared her anyway (although she felt bad for feeling that way).

(may vary in length)

Additional information:

ھ The girl owns nothing worth of mentioning.

ھ She has no weapon skills, and as such owns no weapons, her only defence are the few abilities gained while in the fairy world that make up for it.

ھ Warren put a spell on her when she was around 4 years old; that would make her age more slowly.

ھ When he disappeared it was not reversed or lifted and she is still aging slower than a normal human being.

*Essentially a changeling is usually believed to be the object or sometimes faery child that is left in place of the stolen human child, however I have chosen to use the changeling as portrayed in Changeling: The Lost, by White Wolf publishing, where a changeling is the human that has been brought to the fae world. Although I have based Lillie off of these only loosely as I have yet to read through the book.
